About Ben
Ben learned the dramatic difference between good and bad coffee while serving in the peace-time military.
Making port calls in far-flung countries enabled him to sample local coffees that were dramatically different from the sludge served in shipboard galley coffee pots.
Even back then, while sipping on gloriously delicious local brews, Ben witnessed the beginnings of the plastic driven Trash-a-Geddon that has since enveloped the shores of developing countries around the world.
These two themes come together with the
ATOP Coffee vision:
Delicious, freshly-roasted coffee in bags that won't menace the local ecology.
Bring ATOP Coffee bags on your adventures. Do not discard in the wilderness, as our bags still need to be discarded in a compost to degrade in less than one year. Nonetheless our bags are made of bio-resins and wood cellulose, so will become nutrients for the ecosystem instead of leeching toxins if they blow away in a windstorm.
Is there any plastic floating around up here?
No!
At last...the spot where all the plastic to the East flows to the Atlantic and all the plastic to the West flows to the Pacific!
What time is it?
Time to brew a delicious cup of ATOP Coffee to keep warm in our tent.
Enjoy every sip!
